Katie von Ventura is a pretty 2 year old German Shepherd. She is such a sweet girl.  Katie is a little confused as to how she ended up with the rescue, but it hasn't dampened her spirits.  Her last owners took her in when a neighbor found her skinny and scared in their yard, but because of their age and health problems, realized that finding Katie a new home would be best for everyone.  She walks very well on a leash, walking beside you even if you are walking very slowly.  She is very attentive and alert, and seems to have a lot of wisdom for her age.  She is a little uneasy around some men, but warms up to people quickly.  She will be someone's "velcro doggie" in no time. If you're looking for a snuggler, she's the right dog for you!
